Want to maximize the burn time of your Aglaé scented candle? Follow these tips and extend the fragrance diffusion for as long as possible!
Combustion
Burning time is a key element to ensure perfect consumption of your handmade candle.
- For our scented candles in Single Wick format, it is recommended to burn them for at least 1 hour each time you use them.
- For our scented candles in Double Wick format, a minimum of 1 hour 30 minutes is recommended for each burn.
- For our Triple Wick scented candles, it is recommended to burn them for at least 2 hours each time you use them.
Respecting these minimum burning times allows your candle to burn evenly across its entire surface, enabling the wax to melt right to the rim of the jar. This prevents tunneling, ensuring optimal use of your scented candle until the very last use.
The lock
Maintaining a wick at the correct length is essential to ensure optimal burning of your natural candle.
Ideally, the wick should measure between 8 mm and 1 cm . This length allows the wick to curve correctly during burning, positioning itself in the hottest part of the flame. It is recommended to trim the wick the first time you use your candle to prevent it from becoming too long. Find our wick trimmers in our accessories category to regularly trim your candle wicks.
After burning, the end of the wick may form small balls; please cut them off before reusing your candle to avoid any emission of black smoke.
Drafts
It is essential to emphasize the importance of allowing the candle flame to burn as calmly as possible to ensure optimal combustion. Avoid drafts that could move the flame from one side of the candle to the other, thus disrupting its burning. Regularly ventilating your room is recommended, but this should be done after the candle has been extinguished.
Surveillance
It is essential never to leave a candle unattended. Be sure to protect the surface on which the candle is placed, for example by using our trays.
For Double Wick or Triple Wick candles, never let them burn for more than 3 hours to allow the container to cool down.
